The Omron S8VK-R10 is a compact DIN-rail–mountable redundancy unit designed to support industrial DC power supplies by creating a reliable backup power setup, ensuring stable DC output even if one supply fails. It accepts a DC input in the range of 5 – 30 V and delivers a steady output current of up to 10 A (with peak capable up to 12 A). The module is primarily used alongside primary DC power supplies to add redundancy — so that if one supply fails, S8VK-R10 automatically maintains power to the load, improving system

Status indication: built-in LED indicator (“REDUNDANCY OK” / balance indicator) to show operational status.
Signal output: provides a photo-switch contact output (e.g. 30 V DC, 50 mA max) to notify external system of supply failure or redundancy status.
